The Da Vinci Code, was written by an Author named Dan Brown (DOB 22/06/1964) in 2003 . Dan wrote the book as "a novel and therefore a work of fiction" taken from his web site Q's&A's. Dan claims to be a "Christian" and further elaborates on this statement by saying "I consider myself a student of many religions", without Judgement I quote from the bible "John 14:6 Jesus replied, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me". Let the word of God speak for itself."
The Da Vinci Code was made into a Movie directed by Ron Howard; Staring Tom Hanks, Audrey Tautou, Ian McKellen, I gather due to the novel being so popular.
Dan through the novel disrepute's the Virgin birth, and makes claims that Jesus actually married (not that there would be any problem with being married if he had) however there is no where in the authorised scripture to support this theory. His assumptions were taken from texts that were refuted by the many theologion's and scholar's that came together diligently seeking the truth and ensuring that only the most accurate accounts were that were backed by the Apostles to give legitimancy to the writings.

From a Christian perspective the Da Vinci Code does it's best to disrepute the Word of God (Bible) by attempts to create doubt and confusion. Those who are well versed and founded in their faith will not have a problem as they will recognise where false tales come from, "Col 2:8 Be careful not to allow anyone to captivate you through an empty, deceitful philosophy that is according to human traditions and the elemental spirits of the world, and not according to Christ." However my concern is for the non believer and babe in the faith that may easily be miss led by such false fable's.
